4-Methylmorpholine is an organic compound with the molecular formula C5H11NO. It is a colorless liquid with an ammonia smell and is sensitive to air. It is miscible with water, ethanol , benzene and ether . It is flammable, corrosive , slightly toxic, and has a pungent smell. Inhalation of vapor is irritating to the skin and mucous membranes. The LD50 is 1970mg/kg. The maximum allowable concentration in the air is 5mg/m3. |
